James Watkin

James started in Financial Services during February 1981 when he joined The Prudential Assurance. Working through various positions until reaching the role of Branch Sales Manager.

Since leaving the Prudential Assurance James has worked in various specialist, sales and management roles both in direct sales with Pearl Assurance and within Bank Assurance at Barclay's Bank.

James decided neither of these environments provided the opportunity of offering his clients a choice of products from the ‘whole of market’ as they either marketed their own products or, had ties with one company and offered products from a very narrow range.

After looking at this objectively James decided to become an Independent Financial Adviser in October 2002 as this gave him the opportunity to offer a better selection of competitive products and more choice to his clients.

James set up Verity Wealth Management with Stephanie Pickering who is a Chartered Financial Planner and has the same aims; which are to offer a personal and professional service to existing and prospective clients.

James has achieved his Statement of Professional Standing which is issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute and confirms an adviser has:

James and Stephanie have between them over 60 years experience in Financial Services.

James also gives advice in the specialist area of Equity Release and Home Reversion plans, giving straight forward advice to both new and old clients who require fully qualified and unbiased advise about releasing equity from their home.

Finally, he has personally seen first-hand why it is essential to receive proper Independent Financial Advice, and how important this is to safeguard the future of an individual and their family.

James looks forward to servicing your requirements and assisting you in the future.
